Important Notice Regarding Data Processing in Connection with Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If the body responsible for processing data collected through this site is located outside the European Economic Area and Switzerland, data processing associated with Google Analytics will be performed by Google LLC, headquartered in the United States. Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC are collectively referred to below as “Google.”
Google Analytics uses “cookies,” text files stored on the site visitor’s computer, to analyze that visitor’s use of the site. Information generated by the cookie about use of the website, including the truncated IP address, is transmitted to and stored by Google.
Google Analytics is used exclusively with the “_anonymizeIp ()” extension on this site. This extension ensures IP-address anonymization by truncation and thus excludes direct personal identification. Through this extension, Google truncates the site visitor’s IP address in a European Union Member State or another state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional situations will the site visitor’s full IP address be transmitted to a Google server and truncated in the United States. The IP address provided by the browser of a site visitor using Google Analytics will not be combined by Google with other Google data.
On behalf of the site operator, Google will use the collected information to evaluate use of the site, compile reports on site activity, and provide other website and internet services to the site operator under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest in data processing lies in optimizing this site, analyzing site use, and adapting content. Users’ interests are adequately protected by pseudonymization of their data.
Google LLC has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, providing a safeguard for compliance with European data-protection laws. Data sent and linked to the Google Analytics cookie, such as user ID and advertising ID, will be automatically deleted after 50 months. Data that has reached the retention deadline is automatically deleted once a month.
The site visitor may refuse cookies by selecting the appropriate browser setting. The site visitor may also prevent Google from collecting information via cookies, including the IP address, and from processing that information by downloading and installing the relevant browser plug-in. The site visitor may prevent data collection by Google Analytics by clicking its opt-out link. An opt-out cookie will then be placed, allowing the visitor not to be tracked while browsing this site. More information is available in Google’s privacy policy and Google Ads settings.
reCAPTCHA
We use Google Inc.’s reCAPTCHA service to protect form submissions on your site. This service distinguishes entries made by a human from automated abuse. It involves sending the IP address and potentially other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service. For this purpose, your data will be communicated to Google and used by its services.
Google will first shorten your IP address in European Union Member States, or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, and it will therefore be anonymous. In exceptional cases, your full IP address will be sent to a Google server in the United States and shortened there. On behalf of this website’s operator, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of this service. The IP address provided by reCAPTCHA through your browser will not be combined with other Google data. This data collection is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. By using the reCAPTCHA service, you consent to Google processing data about you in the manner and for the purposes stated above.
